Community rules

Use LostaFound only for genuine lost and found items. Do not post spam, scams, harassment, hateful or sexual content, illegal goods, threats, stolen images or anyone’s private information. Do not request payment credentials or identity documents.

Keep identifying details private so the owner can prove an item belongs to them. Use approximate public locations. Meet safely; LostaFound does not guarantee anyone’s identity. Report suspicious posts or conversations using Report abuse. You can block users and stop further contact. Administrators may hide content and review reported conversations.

Pictures are optional. Upload only images you have permission to share. Remove personal information visible inside pictures yourself; removing metadata does not remove visible information.

Listings expire after 30 days and can be renewed from My reports. Email matching alerts are opt-in; they are suggestions, not ownership verification. Marking an item returned or accepting a claim does not pay a reward.
